You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation - Plato
Play When we play we're fully present in the moment. We become open to the mystery and the wonder that lays in front of us and we can release our past experiences and innocently plunge into the world of possiblity.
Communicate Partnerships need partners to succeed. Success is achieved through a process of clearly communicating your needs and hearing what your partner's needs are so that both of you can become successful in your efforts. Through play you learn to crystalize your ability to both communicate what you need and hear what your partner needs. Its through negotiating these mutual needs that you find success together.
Trust As we play with people we put a little trust in them initally. As we have repeated interactions our trust in knowing how they are going to respond deepens. AcroYoga requires that we place our trust of ourselves in the people we play with and for them to place their trust in us. Trust is the first pillar in having solid relationships with the people around us.
Support As we learn new skills and find ourselves challenged to advance its helpful to have people around us that offer us insights and encouragement. As we play, develop and grow in our practice, the people around us do all of that while they hold us up in the air.
Community As we play we communicate with our partners; working together, we build trust in them that they will be there to support us in our practice. This builds relationships, it builds friends. You connect with the people that you play with. Its those connections that become a community of friends around you.
