We talk a lot about the role of community and its importance within our AcroYoga world.
It’s the reason that I keep coming back to the practice time and time again for years now, and why I travel around the country and the world connecting with the friends that I’ve made through the practice.
Our practice invites each of us to recognize the importance of trusting in ourselves, and trusting in those surrounding and supporting us, and reminds us of the value of safety and support.
One of our friends has gotten hurt. She makes her living as a Bodyworker and is out of commission with a broken collar bone for the next six to eight weeks. She can’t work.
That’s a long time to go without being able to work and a lot of bills that are going to come due. I want to help her with that. I hope that you want to help her with it.
Several teachers from across Chicago and the Midwest have volunteered to donate their time and teaching to bring all of us together to train, to play and to offer our support to a member of our community that needs us right now.
Mark Lerro has graciously donated the space at Urban Lotus to support our efforts.
